UFC Fight Night 260 tournament will be held on June 21, 2025 in Baku Crystal Hall
The main event of the evening will feature a light heavyweight clash between Jamaal Hill and Khalil Rountree. Jamaal Hill, a former light heavyweight champion, will face Khalil Rountree Jr. after their original fight at UFC 303 was cancelled. Rountree was forced to withdraw due to an accidental use of a banned substance, which would have resulted in a four-and-a-half-month suspension. Hill also was unable to compete due to injury.
Khalil Rountree (13-6), ranked seventh in the UFC light heavyweight rankings, suffered a title loss to Alex Pereira in October. The loss snapped a five-fight winning streak. Jamaal Hill (12-3), ranked fourth in the UFC, previously lost to Pereira and Jiri Prochazka after winning the vacant title in 2023. Unfortunately, he was forced to relinquish the belt due to a serious injury.
The fight between Hill and Rountree will be a landmark event for Baku and will be broadcast on ABC in the United States. Viewers can also expect an exciting fight between Rafael Fiziev and Ignacio Bahamondes in the lightweight division.
In addition, MMA fans will see the return of Kyoji Horiguchi to the Octagon after a long break. The Japanese fighter is known for his nine knockout victories out of seventeen total victories and will now face Russian lightweight Tagir Ulanbekov, who is ranked tenth in his weight class.
Two women's fights are also scheduled: Irina Alekseeva vs. Claudia Sygula and Daria Zheleznyakova vs. Melissa Mullins. In the heavyweight category, spectators will be able to watch fights between Hamdi Abdulvahhab and Mohammed Usman, as well as Curtis Blaydes and Rizvan Kuniyev.
