On June 21, 2025, in Baku, at the Baku Crystal Hall arena, the UFC Fight Night 260 tournament will be held
The Baku Crystal Hall, with its impressive architecture and significant capacity, will create ideal conditions for holding such competitions. The organizers are actively forming a fight card, which will include both promising newcomers and experienced UFC fighters from different weight classes. The main event of the evening will be a light heavyweight fight between Jamal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The key intrigue of the meeting will be the question: will Rountree be able to knock out his opponent in the early rounds or will Hill gain the upper hand due to his technique and endurance? Hill, nicknamed "Sweet Dreams", won the UFC championship belt in 2023, but soon gave it up due to an Achilles tendon injury. He is also known as a fan of Floyd Mayweather and has trained several times in his gym.
Khalil "War Horse" Rountree is known for his aggression in the octagon and powerful punches. His life path is interesting: born in Los Angeles to a music producer, he faced problems with excess weight, but thanks to sports, he changed dramatically. He trained under Wanderlei Silva and made it to the UFC through the show "The Ultimate Fighter". In the UFC, Rountree alternated victories and losses, but won his last five fights by unanimous decision.
In addition to the main fights of the tournament, preliminary fights are planned, where young athletes will be able to demonstrate their abilities.
Among other interesting matches is the fight between Ismail Naurdiev from Chechnya and South Korean Yun Yong Park Kyoji. Both fighters have unique styles: Naurdiev is known for his powerful strikes and aggressive fighting style, and Park prefers a tactical approach with an emphasis on wrestling and grappling. Naurdiev began his career under the flag of Austria, but now represents Morocco. Pak has been continuously competing in the UFC since 2019, winning eight of eleven fights in the league.
The outcome of this fight depends on who can impose their style: if Naurdiev keeps the fight standing, his chances will increase; if Pak takes the fight to the ground, he can win due to his grappling skills.
