The Absolute Fighting Championship, better known to the whole world as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and personally the head of the entire organization, Dana White, express their sincere condolences to the family of Khabib Nurmagomedov in connection with the loss of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, who, at the age of 57, died on July 3, 2020 in the city Moscow from complications due to coronavirus.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was born in Dagestan in 1962. Played sports from an early age. He became the master of sports of the USSR in freestyle wrestling.

After serving in the army, he also began to practice judo and sambo. He was a pupil of the legendary coach Pyotr Butria and sambist and judoist Vladimir Mikhailovich Nevzorov.

He began his active coaching career in the mid-1990s.

Among his pupils were such champions and prize-winners of Dagestan and Russia in freestyle wrestling as Magomedkhan Kaziev, Saidbek Darbishchev, Khasan Magomedov, Khadzhimurat Mutalimov, Dabadan Omarov, Magomedrasul Aliyev.

Also, Abdulmanap achieved great coaching successes in combat sambo, having brought up many champions and prize-winners of world championships.
